Presented by Octavia Films: A Nonprofit for Women, both The Artists and Ivadelle will be playing in their upcoming festival. Focusing strictly on young emerging female filmmakers, the festival will be screening a series of Canadian short films. June 23rd 7:30-11:00 PM @ The Projection Booth in Toronto’s Leslieville.

Like usual, I like to take some sweet sweet time to edit. Complete with gun shots, rap music and bubble gum, Cop Killer is out to shock the nation.
Nicole has been making films as a writer and director for the last five years. Her extensive dramatic training, including a special focus on improvisational acting and directing, have honed her documentarian eye. Within her roster of films Nicole has created several improvised shorts, yet part of her inevitably gravitates toward dramatic storytelling. In 2010 her film Ivadelle played throughout the globe, in addition to winning Best Narrative Short at the RiverRun International Film Festival. A 2009 graduate of Ryerson’s Film Production program, Nicole has been steadily working in the film industry since.
